The Timeline

On our website you will find a timeline. You will see that it has not changed yet, that’s because the piglets, whose lives we want to follow, haven’t been born yet.

At the moment you can see pictures of how people imagine the life of a pig, the timing of these stages is real enough, but is the life of a farmed pig really as positive as the pictures show?

On the timeline you will the seven months that a pig lives in the intensive farming system. There is a box for each week, which we will colour in, so that you can see at a glance how old the two pigs X11 and X15 are. For X15 there is also a “countdown” because, like all the other 5 million (5,300,000) pigs, who are considered meat products, he will be slaughtered after just seven months.
